Hi! Taking the first step in your own recovery, mental health, or difficult circumstances can certainly be an intimidating task. You may feel discouraged and are looking for ways to find encouragement, validation, or even hope. It is never too late to seek help, especially when it is needed most in challenging situations. My name is Christine Cagle, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and soon to be Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor in the state of Connecticut. I graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Counseling from Central Connecticut State University. I have worked in several outpatient settings in the last (3) years with a focus on both mental health and substance abuse treatment.  I have worked at several Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs and have worked with various client demographics, ages, and cultures.

My counseling style emphasizes a strength-based, trauma-sensitive approach. I use a combination of therapeutic styles such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and an emphasis on self-discovery with Existential Therapy. I am eager to support your therapeutic journey with a client-centered approach and safe space to talk whether that is in the CTACC office or telehealth in the comfort of your own home. I believe incorporating topics of self-esteem, mindfulness, and distress tolerance to be helpful. The choice is yours!
